Prepping your file:

  1. .Tiff or .psd is preferred, but we can print with most formats.
  2. Keep all layers (in other words, don’t flatten your image) and always leave sharpening on its own layer.
  3. Adobe RGB (1998) or ProPhoto RGB are preferred colour space, but we can work in any colour space.
  4. We can print with either 8 or 16 bit depth.

Important things to remember:

Check for dust spots. Dust spots really suck and will ruin your image. Ask us to check over your images for dust if you’d like.

Resist the temptation to over-sharpen. Over-sharpening also sucks. No one likes crunchy images. Remember to sharpen your images at print size, not at capture size. And please, leave this on its layer. Or don’t sharpen. We can do that- just ask.

Check your aspect ratio before you print. For example, if you’d like to print an 8×10, we’ll have to crop your native 8×12 images in order to make them 8×10. If you’d like us to do that, that’s cool. If you want the ultimate in control, go ahead and crop them before sending them over.
