FILES YOU’LL RECEIVE

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE FROM YOUR REPRODUCTION PROJECT

ORIGINAL CAPTURE : this is the original file without any edits made. This is the file version that you would import into image editing software.

UNPROCESSED TIFF : 16bit or 8bit Tiff in in AdobeRGB or LAB Colour (16bit AdobeRGB is default)

EDITED FULL RESOLUTION FILE : these files have been edited and colour corrected. They are likely very large and may not open on some computers. There may be multiple versions which we progressively mark as V1, V2, V3, etc. with most recent edits in versions with the higher number. We will use the latest file when creating your print, and work with you to determine if further edits (versions) are required.
Processed Tiff – 16bit or 8bit Tiff in AdobeRGB or LAB Colour (16bit AdobeRGB is default)

JPEGS : these are intended for use on a screen (e.g. website, social media) and not for prints. We give you 2-3 jpegs so you have a variety of file sizes. Though created from the latest edited full resolution file, the jpegs may have a slightly different look due to the colour space being changed from AdobeRGB in the edited files to sRGB in the jpegs. sRGB is a more universal colour space and is more predictable across multiple devices and screens.

The jpegs come in two or three sizes and can be used for whatever purpose you would like. We suggest that you do not use these to make prints. If you need a file for a certain type of print, we can create that file for you.

  • Processed Jpeg at 2000 pixels long dimension – 8bit Jpeg in sRGB Colour
  • Processed Jpeg at 4000 pixels long dimension – 8bit Jpeg in sRGB Colour
  • Processed Jpeg at 8000 pixels long dimension – 8bit Jpeg in sRGB Colour

(8000 pixel jpegs available for larger originals, or upon request for all repros)
