Experience. Resolve Photo was established in 2009. We haven’t seen it all, but we’ve seen it all.
How do we help?
- We’ll help you get a print that matches your vision.
- We’ll ask you questions about your work.
- We’ll help you understand the potential for translating your images to print.
- We’ll suggest edits to help make your printed images match your vision.
- We’ll help choose a paper.
- We’ll help you get a print that matches your vision- it’s that important.
Technical Expertise. We’ve got that too. Want to chat about colour spaces, calibration, white points, gammas, gamuts, curves, masks, layers, monitor dot pitches, printer dots per inch, rendering intents, OBAs, and whatnot? Sure! But we’d rather talk about your vision for your print.
Hahnemuhle Certified Studio. We’re a Hahnemuhle Certified Studio. There’s only a few of these studios in Canada, and we the first in in Western Canada. Hahnemuhle is one of the biggest fine art paper mills in the world. They’ve been making paper since 1584, and they’ve been a leader in digital fine art paper for more than thirty years. We’re proud of our relationship with Hahnemuhle.
Ilford Certified Printer. We have been printing on Ilford papers for about 13 years. In 2022, we were awarded Certified Printer Partner by Ilford. We may be the first Ilford Certified Partner in Canada.
Client base. We have experience printing for every type of client. We’ve helped amateur photographers, professional photographers, illustrators, local artists, international artists, elementary schools, junior and senior high schools, post-secondary institutions, corporations, governments, galleries, museums, art foundations, art collectors, and grandparents printing photos of their grandkids.
Variety of products. We print on a lot of different papers and substrates. We list about thirty on our price-list, and we’ve even got a few that we haven’t put on their yet. We’re always trying out new papers, and we’re not afraid to stop carrying a paper if the manufacturer lets us down on quality.
Variety of equipment. We do all our printing in house. We have a bunch of printers.
People know us, and we know people. We’re really proud of the relationships we’ve created and fostered. We’ve also introduced photographers to fellow photographers, photographers to gallerists, gallerists to artists, and we’ve introduced collectors to photographers. It’s always a joy when two clients meet for the first time in our shop. It happens a lot.
