Printing 4×6 and 5×7 Images

We often receive questions about printing 4×6 and 5×7 images. 

While we’re not opposed to printing these smaller sizes it’s important to understand that we’re a fine art print shop optimized for larger images and we’re not set up to economically print most photos below 8×10. For this reason any print below 12×12 will be charged at the minimum charge for one square foot. If you check out our Paper Price Estimator you’ll see that pricing does not change from the paper minimum below 12×12.

This minimum charge reflects available paper sizes and the labour involved in cutting down larger paper to size. While a drug store print shop will have 4×6 and 5×7 paper that has already been cut to size, as a fine art print shop many of our papers come in much larger sizes or exclusively on much larger rolls. 

We understand and appreciate that sometimes our customers absolutely need their images printed on fine art paper, even at sizes like 4×6 and 5×7. If this is the case for you, and you either have a high volume order or you’re willing to pay the minimum, then we’d be happy to print those for you.
